Preparing Your Home for the Fall Market in Texas
Getting your home ready for the fall can be easy and enjoyable. Fall is my favorite season, because of football, pumpkins, fall colors, pumpkin spice everything, and of course cooler weather! If you find yourself needing to sell your home in the fall season here are some tips to get your home ready for showings.
Tips for Preparing Your Home Successfully
1.) Curb appeal is so important and could make a big difference in how fast your home sells. Start by tidying up the yard by trimming the trees and bushes. Maybe plant some fall foliage and set a few fall decorations out.
2.) It is always a good idea to get your HVAC cleaned and serviced before the cold winter weather sneaks up on you.
3.) Before you have a showing on your home, you want it to have all the fall smells. Boiling some cinnamon sticks or brewing a pot of pumpkin spice coffee is just a couple of examples you can try to make your potential buyers feel welcome and cozy in your home.
4.) Fall is the time of the year when we have the time change and it starts getting darker earlier. For those late afternoon and evening showings be sure to raise the blinds and turn on all the lights to keep your home from feeling dark and dreary.
5.) Give your windows a good cleaning. The last thing you want is to have the blinds open and the lights on, to highlight those kids and grandkids’ hand or nose prints on the windows. Maybe even dog or cat prints!
These are just a few suggestions, I am sure I could think of more, however, these tips will get you started. The i35 Group is always ready and available to help guide you through getting your home ready to sell. Give us a call anytime and let us know how we can help!
