Growth in the Area
The City of Killeen has seen steady growth over the past several years. Killeen’s growth is combined with the military presence on Fort Hood. In addition to the military presence, Fort Hood also hired civilians and contractors that contribute to the growth of the area. People have also migrated from other cities or states, which also contributed to Killeen’s growth. According to the Killeen Daily Herald, Killeen is expected to have 150,000 residents this year. To accommodate the growth, there is plenty of new construction in the Killeen area which generates an ample supply of inventory to keep up with the housing demand.
